Tom Haudricourt’s yearly Brewer report card is always fascinating.  Seemingly random grades that often don’t make a ton of sense and seem way too subjective.  Which is why they’re great. In that spirit, we attempted to do the same for the Brewers media and bloggers we had the pleasure of following and reading this summer.

Without further ado, the inaugural Brewer Media and Blogger report card:

Tom Haudricourt A+ I’ll let Rubie Q take this one: “He’s so meta: he’s now taken to complaining about people complaining about him complaining about the weather. Personally, I’d give Tom an A+++. Dude cracks me up. Between the  accidental text tweets and unapologetically being a complete curmudgeon, he’s my favorite non-family member human. “

Mike Vassilio A The best PR man in the biz.  Proved unflappable  when times were down.  Greinke hurt?  Let’s beat the drum about Corey Hart’s 3 straight games with a double. Team mathematically eliminated?  Let’s tweet at baseball writers about Braun’s MVP case.

Brewcrewball A- Kyle’s a friend of the blog and a saint for dealing with the BCB commenters  (ourselves included). Docked a half a grade for taking 12 hours to  respond to twitter comments, so when he finally does you have no idea what he’s talking about.

View from Bernie’s Chalet  A-  Jason is the nicest guy on Twitter. One time I saw him at Miller Park and recognized him from  his Twitter pic. Went up and said hi, he complimented my shirt. You can’t beat that.

Adam McCalvy B+ Its really hard to find anything negative to say  about Mr. McCalvy.  Docked a few points for not being as awesome as Haudricourt.

Disciples of Uecker B The Miami Heat of the blog scene, tried to buy high priced talent from across the state. Extra points for consistent content. Docked points because Topp always argues with us, which is silly because we’re always right.

Miller Park Drunk B Bonus points for being one of the funnier Brewer people on twitter, negative  points for being friends with Rambling Al and too often yelling at fans  like us for overreacting when we’re being totally reasonable at all times.

Brewerfan C+ We here at RRSMB don’t follow the minors with the intensity that many do, and are convinced that most of the players Jim tweets about are simply made up names

Drew Olson D- Tried to get me to use something called “Spots  Yapper” once.  According to his Wikipedia page (!) he still has a  baseball HOF vote even though he tweets about the Packers when there is September baseball going on.

Ron Roenicke Stole my Baseball F+ Over-reactive whiners who  started a blog in the middle of a historic 2011 Brewer season only to  complain about the rare things that did go wrong.  Only really post if  Badgernoonan is fired up about something. Given the + because we are still not as bad as….

Anthony Witrado F I don’t think he’s still employed anymore, but man, that guy was terrible.
